BIOGRAPHY

Artist Lennart Möller I was born in 1958 in Stockholm, Sweden, where I still live and work.
I started, like many artists, with a childhood interest in drawing. As I reached my
teenage years I bought my first watercolours and tried to catch the soul
of the archipelago on paper.
Gradually, I have since then developed the motives, technology and materials.
I have no formal education. But I think it’s the ability to see things in new ways,
the degree of creativity, the sense of composition of how this can be transferred
to the white raw canvas or paper that is important for the result.
My art is, at this time, inspired of the Viking age and its objects and symbols,
but also of contemporary advertising, magazines and patterns that exist in the
urban environment. My art often consists of mixed media paintings, which includes
both abstract and figurative elements. I try to attract the audience through the
form and composition, rather than using a lot of color. The quality of the picture
is then dependent on the balance. Balance between order and chaos.
Finding balance is for me the creative process.
